WELCOME
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) located in New York City. Specifically, I work in adult and adolescent psychotherapy, mentorship, and overall mind and body wellness.
In my work I’ve discovered that congruence, or alignment between one’s internal and external world, is the single most important factor to achieving true happiness. Through my holistic, genuine, empathetic, and often direct approach, my clients can attain congruence in their lives.
About Me
I graduated from Pace University with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2012 and received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of San Francisco in 2003. Since then I have worked extensively with adults and adolescents within individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and intensive individualized clinical mentorship.
I have extensive training in the following psychotherapy treatments:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MB-CBT)
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Person Centered Therapy
Solution Focused Therapy
Motivational Interviewing
Additionally, I have an in depth knowledge of Eastern Philosophy and the many tools it provides individuals seeking a higher quality of life. After years of study, practice, and attaining my yoga teacher certification ( Laughing Lotus, 2013), I found that mediation, mindfulness, breath work, nutrition, and yoga are the perfect compliments to traditional western therapeutic approaches.
My Clients
I work with adults and adolescents with a wide range of therapeutic needs. Those needs range from seeking a higher level of fulfillment in their daily lives to working through moderate to severe levels of distress. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them overcome anxiety, intrusive thoughts, guilt, shame, depression, barriers to healthy relationships, intimacy issues, substance related issues, LGBTQ issues, grief, and post-traumatic stress.
In addition to my private practice, I continue to work within the New York City Foster Care system as a therapist, substance abuse counselor, wellness coach, and yoga instructor for young men aging out of foster care. I am continually inspired by the profound resilience of these young men and their willingness to engage in the therapeutic process.
